dowry..

what is your stand on the issue of the dowry .
maybe in the west it is not a big issue.
but here in the east people have adopted or created the customs that because of non availability of huge dowry many sisters are unwed at their parents' homes..
what do you all think

Its a bad thing that we Muslims have adopted from the Hindus.

Hadrat Anas Radi ALLAH Taala Anhu reported that the Messenger of Allah Peace And Blessings Be Upon Him has said, “Everything has a heart, and the heart of the Qur’an is Yasin. Allah records anyone who recites Yasin as having recited the Qur’an ten times.”
