WE ARE INDEPENDENT
Tears flowed from the sparkling eyes
Of a girl that was so filled with despise
Kashmir was the land she belonged to
Where amid bullets the children grew
Her brothers and sisters slept unaware
Alone she faced the enemy's rage and glare
She wondered if that was the real aim
Of religion spark and independence flame
Along with her a million suffered
While the supreme did nothing but only muttered
By the grace of our Lord
We are independent
