How Atayef (Arabic Sweet) is made

Step 1) You can make the dough at home for the Atayef at home but usually you can get them freshly made in different Bakeries :) In the older days the Bakers would actually pour each and every one of the Atayef dough but they've advanced technology

Step 2) There are usually two fillings for the atayef nuts and cheese (my favourite is cheese!)

Step 3) This is how they look before you put them into the oven. Before putting them into the oven usually you put some margarine on each one in order to give it a nice color

Step 4) Voila! Now to get it to be sweet we usually dip each one of the Atayefs in a sugary sauce called "Atter" and to make it you basically just put sugar and water in a pan and boil it for a while and you're done :)

Don't they look amazing? They taste even better!
