One of the biggest scholer dr Zakir Naik says that reciting darood pak in dua iz gunnah..Although he iz a great scholer he says that how can a person listen to our darood who iz dead thts why he says that its a shirk because we make waseela of holy prophet(pbuh)..but when i cheaked the hadiths i found one in which holy prophet(pbuh) says that when a person recite it in his prayer he will allways listen to it nd than one shaba asked u will also list when u willn't be allive so he replied yes..i want to know that iz it really shirk or not..

Brother ur question is not a new one most of the ppl get confused by the so called teachings of islam by so called scholars who show themselves the wholewisdome and knowledge but actually they are just the pretenders and they have very much few wisdom and knwledge about the status of our beloved prophet Muhammad may peace and blessings be upon him. the person whome u are reffering doesnot know the status of our beloved prophet Muhammadso i dnt want to comment on what he has said. i am not a scholar but the little i know i will surely share with u.
Allah and his angels send darood to Muhammad may paece and blessings be upon him. in Quraan its mentioned in sura -e-ahdzaab verse no 56
Indeed, Allah confers blessing upon the Prophet, and His angels [ask Him to do so]. O you who have believed, ask [ Allah to confer] blessing upon him and ask [ Allah to grant him] peace
so u can guess that how much this action beloved and of worth for Allah almighty that He Himself send darood to his beloved Messenger and his angels also and he ordered us also to send darood on Prophet Muhammad may peace and blessings be upon him. why there is need to send darood to a personality who is so much beloved of Allah Almighty so why there is need of sending darood by us. then for this u consider an example. a begger knocks at ur door and asks for something if he asks for the sake of Allah and also asks some duas for u May Allah keep u safe from all evils and miseries and also ur kids and u will be pleased by his way of asking... the same is true for us when we ask duas nd supliications..we are asking from Allah Almighty who is the most merciful and gracius now if we send darood in dua to his beloved who is the reason of creation of worlds and for creation of whole universe then how Allah will not be pleased and will not grant us what we ask from Him. as Allah is the pnly one lord who has no son or relations for sake of whome he will give someone something but he has his beloved The Prophet Muhammad May peace and blessings be upon him and so he surely Loves if some one in his suplications sends Darood on his beloved and asks dua for sending peace and blessings on prophet Muhammad may peace and blessings be upon him. Now i think u must have got the point how much its rewarding act for us to send darood and how much Allah pleases by this act. this is the act what Allah Himself performs then why not we..
now coming to the person u are reffering he has portrayed many wrong ideas and beliefs and pllz before u follow someones teachings consult Quraan and hadeeth first. the person whose Love is the sign of emaan and no one could be moman if he doesnot Love Prophet Muhammad ( may peace and blessings be upon him) more than his life, belongings and his childerns so why we should not send darood on our prophet Muhammad ( may peace and blessings be upon him).how we can show love for him. and Prophet Muhammad has also said in his Hadeeth whosoever sends darood on me i listen to him. i think its enough. if u consult with some scholar he will give u a detailed summry of importance of sending darood in each and every situation whether in duas or in any other condition.
