Verse 143 of chapter 2 of the Holy Quran declares that God has made Muslims ,"Ummathanw Wasthan"(society justly balanced and precluded from going to extremes).Obviously by transgressing all limits of decency, they brought a bad name to themselves and the religion.
"Jihad" in the sense of waragainst those who oppressed the Muslims and drew them out of their homes, was limited to certain parties and for certain period of time only. All wars fought during the lifetime of prophet are nnot deemed as "jihads"!
The Holy Quran has laid dpwn that the Great Jihad (jihade Kabeer) consists in "striving against the unbelievers withutmost strenuousness ,with the Quran"!(verse52 Chapter 25).
hence, Muslims badly need a reorientation about the concept of "jihad".

Whatever is being showed in Western Media is not necessarily "true" . American and jewish funded media can show the demolished building in Bamiyan, but did not showed children dying in afghan hospitals because of shortages of Medicines, but America funded UNO, UNICEF, RED CROSS didnt gave any aid to save them, instead they were giving aid to save "historical heritage" of budhist statues in bamiyan.

similarly a vague video of girl beated in swat was shown in every media but WHY NOT A SINGLE TRIAL OF DR. AFIA SIDDIQUI?
