    Dear All,

    Please the following updated database of scholarships to which applicants pursuing studies in India and abroad may apply.


    R D Sethna Scholarship
    Last Date 31-August-2012


    Applications are invited from Indian students of all communities for grant of Loan Scholarships for Scientific, Technical, Medical and other Professional courses in India and abroad.

    Application forms may be obtained from the Trust office on payment of Rs.50/- either in cash or by Postal Order.

    Candidates requesting for forms by post must send a self-addressed of Rs.10/- stamped envelope of size: 23cm x 10cm. Duly completed Application Forms should reach the Trust Office not later than 31st May 2012 for studies abroad and by 31st Aug, 2012 for studies in India.

    The Five Pillars of Islam (arkān-al-Islām أركان الإسلام; also arkān ad-dīn أركان الدين "pillars of the religion") are five basic acts in Islam.

    Scholarship at a glance
    To promote education of the poor and the needy students by rendering financial help to pay their tution fees.
    Eligibility:
    I) FAMILY SHOULD BE ELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE ZAKAAT FUND
    II) A First class in the examination passed, Parents are unable to support the student due to their meager income and poor resources.
    The application available by post in the address given below. It can also be downloaded fro the web site www.bsazakaat.org
    The filled in application should reach the organization within the date given in the site.
    There will be field verification by the organization.
    Once the conditions are satisfied, the student will be called for to attend a written test on Islam followed be personal interview along with parents.
    If selected the scholarship amount will be sent directly to the education institution where a candidate studies.
    The continuation of the scholarship for the rest of the period depends on students clearing all subjects without arrears achieving an overall 60 % aggregate.
    The foundation plans to provide job opportunities to all the successful scholarship holder by contacting various business organizations

    Applications invited by the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India for the 2012-13 Post-Matric Scholarship for Indian Students belonging to the Minority Communities in India. The scholarship is to be awarded for studies in India in a government or private higher secondary school/college/university, including such residential institutes of the Government and eligible private institutes selected and notified in a transparent manner by the State Government/Union Territory Administration concerned. It will also cover technical and vocational courses in Industrial Training Institutes/ Industrial Training Centres affiliated with the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) of classes XI and XII level.
