On Sunday June 20th, 2010 - Insha-Allah, Masjid Darul Iman will be holding a ground-breaking ceremony for the start of the Masjid construction on the purchased land (near the corner of 16th Avenue and Hwy 48)
The program will consist of two parts on Sunday June 20th:

• 12:30 pm - Groundbreaking and duas at the purchased land on 6230 - 16th Avenue (please park your car at the Br. Andre High School - [map]) - FREE ONLINE REGISTRATION

• 5:30 pm - Fundraising Dinner and Nasheed Program at Crystal Fountain Banquet Hall [map] with special guest nasheed artist, Junaid Jamshed (further speakers to be announced) $100 per ticket - BUY TICKETS ONLINE
  

This new masjid project will InshaAllah be of great significance for protecting and supporting the growing needs of the Muslim Community in Markham, Canada and for enhancing the cause of Islam, in addition to, benefiting Muslim generations for decades to come.

NEW MASJID DETAILS

• The building shall cover over 25 - 30,000 sq feet on two acres of prime land
• Will serve over 1600 worshipers
• Three well-equipped classrooms
• Recreational facilities for all ages
• Islamic library and support area specially for elders
• Dawah and guidance centre
• Community support centre
• Estimated cost to start construction is $1.4M
• Estimated cost to complete the construction is US $4.5M
