ابو سعید رضی الله تعالیٰ عنھ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول الله صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: جمعہ کے روز غسل کرنا ہربالغ پر واجب ہے، نیز مسواک کرنا اور خوشبو لگانا جب کہ میسر ہو.
عمرو نے فرمایا کہ غسل کے متعلق میں گواہی دیتا ہوں کہ واجب ہے لیکن مسواک کرنا اور خوشبو لگانا تو الله بہتر جانے کہ یہ واجب ہے یا نہیں، لیکن حدیث میں اسی طرح ہے

Narrated Abu Said (R.A): I testify that Beloved Prophet (
.W) Said, "The taking of a bath on Friday is compulsory for every male Muslim who has attained the age of puberty and (also) the cleaning of his teeth with Miswak, and the using of perfume if it is available." Amr (R.A) (a sub-narrator) said, "I confirm that the taking of a bath is compulsory, but as for the Miswak and the using of perfume, Allah knows better whether it is obligatory or not, but according to the Hadith it is as above.")
