Abu ''Uthman related that Abu Musa [al-Ash'ari] said, "We were on a journey with the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and whenever we went up, we say, 'Allah is greater.' The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, 'Be kind to yourselves! You are not calling someone who is deaf or absent. You are calling on One who is hearing and seeing, near.' Then he came to me while I was saying to myself, "There is no power nor strength except by Allah." He told me, "'Abdullah ibn Qays, say 'There is no power nor strength except by Allah.' It is one of the treasures of the Garden," or he said, " Shall I direct you to it?'"
