  • Taking grave (Dargah) as a place of worship!

It is not permissible for graves to be left in mosques, whether that is the grave of a wali (“saint”) or of anyone else, because the Messenger (PBUH) forbade that and warned against that, and he cursed the Jews and Christians for doing that. It was narrated that he (PBUH) said: “May Allah curse the Jews and the Christians, for they took the graves of their Prophets as places of worship.” [Bukhaari, 1330, Muslim, 529]
He (PBUH) also said: “When a righteous man died among them, they would build a place of worship over his grave and put those images in it. They are the most evil of mankind before Allaah.” (Al-Bukhaari, 427; Muslim, 528)
He(PBUH) said: “Those who came before you took the graves of their Prophets and righteous people as places of worship. Do not take graves as places of worship – I forbid you to do that.” (Narrated by Muslim in his Saheeh, 532, from Jundab ibn ‘Abd-Allaah al-Bajali).
So the Prophet (PBUH) forbade taking graves as places of worship and he cursed those who do that, stating that they are the most evil of mankind. So we must beware of that.
It is known that everyone who prays at a grave (Dargah) is taking it as a place of worship, and whoever builds a mosque over a grave (Dargah) has taken it as a place of worship. So we must keep graves far away from the mosques and not put graves inside mosques, in obedience to the command of the Prophet (PBUH) and so as to avoid the curse issued by our Lord against those who build places of worship over graves, because when a person prays in a mosque in which there is a grave, the Shaytaan tempt them to call upon the deceased or to seek his help, or to pray to him or prostrate to him, thus committing major shirk (polytheism) and going out of fold of Islam.

no one prostrates sis.....there are two type of sajda....

sajda a tazeem....this sajda was done to Adam alahis salaam by the angels...

sajda e ibadat....this is only for Allah subhan wa ta'ala

people often use such word to misguide masses.....kissin Mazaar is called bosa and not prostration......

                      First tomb in islam

Grave of PROPHET MUHAMMAD (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) in room of the house of Ayesha (RadiAllahu anhu)

                      second tomb in islam

Grave of hadrat abu baker (RadiAllahu anhu) in a room of the house of Ayesha (RadiAllahu anhu) buried next to Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)

                      third tomb in islam

Grave of hadrat umar bin khatab (RadiAllahu anhu) in a room of the house of Ayesha (RadiAllahu anhu) buried next to Prophet (Saw)and abu baker (RadiAllahu anhu)

So it was a practice of Sahabis (RadiAllahu anhu) to bury khilifahs and Prophet Aleh Salam not openly but in a Room or some thing like tomb or dome covering it

Proof of building of tombs around a grave

                        Quran states:

[Kahf 18:21] And this is how We made them known for people to know that the promise of Allah is true and that there is no doubt concerning the Last Day; when the people began disputing among themselves regarding them, they said, "Construct a building over their cave"; their Lord well knows them; those who dominated in this matter said,
"We promise we will build a Masjid over them."

Tafsir for the above posted verse

Qadhi Thana Ullah Panipatti (Rahimuhullah) writes in his great Tafsir al Mazhari: After the death of Ashaab al Kahf a dispute occurred between Muslims and non-muslims, The Muslims said that they will make a Masjid over them because they were of our faith whereas the disbelievers said they will build other buildings on it where people will live….This Ayah is proving that Mosques could be made near graves of Awliya in order to say salaat in them, Tabarruk is also attained through the tombs of Awliya .

Tafsir by Imam Bayzawi (Rehmat'Ullah Alaih) says: "From this it is understood that to erect a Mausoleum for the special people, i.e. Pious Saints and Ulema, is permissible".

Tafsir by Imam Fakhrud'deen Razi (Rehmat'Ullah Alaih) writes:

Translation: Some people said that the door of the cave should be closed so that nobody can enter it and the Ahwaal (of Ashab e Kahf) are kept hidden. Some people said that It is better to build a Masjid at the door, this saying proves that these people were “ARIFEEN OF ALLAH WHO BELIEVED IN WORSHIPPING AND PRAYER”
