Mysorean rockets were the world first iron-cased rockets that were successfully deployed for military use. Hyder Ali, the 18th century ruler of Mysore, and his son and successor, Tipu Sultan.

A rocket carrying about one pound of powder could travel almost 1,000 yards. having effective range of upto 2 K.m. And done a great damage to english army in all maysore wars.

But in fourth maysore war traitors like mir sadiq breaches the walls of ammunition's dumb and fill it with water and all rockets who were in dumb become useless. . . .

After the shahdat of tipu sultan this technolgy transfer to england and after research Congreve rocket was devaloped in 1805 . . .
